What is the Procedure for Changing the Operator?
Follow the below steps to change the portability of one network to another without changing the number.
Step 1: Type the format PORT <Mobile Number> and Send SMS to 1900
Example:
PORT 9125460789
Step 2: You will get an SMS response with a personal porting code which is unique for you.
Step 3: Cite the unique code and send the desired operator SMS. This code is valid for only a few days and should be re-applied if it is out of date.
Step 4: Your current operator will test the new operator & will be boarding for approval, regardless of the fee.
Step 5: You will receive an SMS with time and date when boarding takes place. The process must be completed within 4 days of the procedure.
Step 6: Once the boarding is over, send your SMS to your new operator. Your phone may vanish for about 2 hours while boarding.

What is the Eligibility criteria for a changing a network with the same mobile number?
- The subscriber is allowed to do so after the date of the mobile connection activity or the mobile number ported to another mobile service provider by 90 days.
- The subscriber is allowed to change the mobile service provider only within the same service area.
- If you have a pre-paid subscriber, please, balance the balance of the storing time, if any, at the time of boarding.(Means balance not in Minus amount).
- If you are post-paid subscribers, pay your last bill.

Note: Depending on the service provider, you will have to pay. You will be charged up to 19. You can withdraw your boarding request within 24 hours to apply.
The process takes approximately seven days to complete. Jammu & Kashmir, Assam and the Northeast countries can go up to 15 days. Your new mobile service provider should inform you about the date and time of boarding through SMS.
You can continue using your current SIM. If it stop working, you have to change it. Two hours service will be disrupted during the change.
