Steps to Follow:
Method 1: Update the OS to the latest version
Go to App Store.
Select Updates in the top menu.
In that select Software Update.
Click Update.
It will take some few seconds for Mac OS download and installation.
Mac will automatically restart when installation done.
Method 2: Restart Mac
So many problems get fixed if you restart it once. this is achieved by three different way.
Action 1: Press the power button and, in the new dialog box, click the Restart button.
Action 2: Go to the Apple key and then click Restart.
Action 3: Press Control, Command, and Power button at the same time.
Method 3: Changing keychain password
Step 1: Open Keychain Access
Step 2: Go to login
Step 3: Select Change Password for Keychain
Step 4: Add a Touch ID finger again.
Now try it whether it is fixed or not.
Method 4: Try to Open in Safe Mode
Start Mac and then Press and hold Shift immediately.
Release Shift key when viewing the login window.
If your start disk is encrypted with FileVault,then you need to log in twice. One is for ‘unlock the startup disk’ and other is for’log in to the Finder’.
Method 5: Remove and Readd fingerprint to Touch ID
Steps to Remove Fingerprint:
Go to Apple Menu icon.
From the drop-down select System Preferences.
Click Touch ID.
Now you register the fingerprint of yours and wait to see the ‘X’ mark.
Click on that ‘X’.
Now Enter the password which you want and Click OK.
A pop up will display now and ask you to confirm Delete the fingerprint registration permanently.
Steps to Add Fingerprint:
- Click on the Apple Menu icon.
- Select System Preferences in the drop-down menu.
- Click Touch ID and then Add a Fingerprint.
- It asks for your password. Enter your user password.
- Place your finger over the prompt area.
