Touch ID is IOS fingerprint identification sensor that helps to open your device, log in to apps, use apple fee etc…, It is very helpful to make process simple if it works. If it not works then it will be annoying.
So let see some fix to make it working properly. Before that we have to find the reason for the failure of Touch ID authentication then it is very easy for us to fix.
Touch ID consists of a capacitive touch sensor in Mac Device as well as in all IOS device. In Apple phone you can see that capacitive ring which used to touch at the bottom to open the device. In mac-book pro there is no ring like phone but the whole Touch ID is capacitive touch sensor.
When you touch your finger in that sensor then the sensor scan the picture of your fingerprint in high resolution and compare with registered fingerprint. If it matches then the sensor makes the hardware active and allows the user to get login, if not then it shows the successive error.
Better Delete and Read the Touch ID first that will solve 75% of the issue.
When you doing registration initially make sure to swipe your finger around every-ware on the sensor will scan the first stage. And make sure your fingers are clean and not with sweat or any liquid.
Better wipe your finger and try it.
Even after the deletion and re addition of fingerprint not works then it make be the issue with OS. Update the OS to latest version. To achieve this go to App store –> Click Update button on the Mac book OS.
If you face the same issue in OS device then make sure your finger are touching capacitive ring and home button.
